Insulation set
Gasket sets for insulating flanges are used to protect the flange from corrosion in places where a seal is required between flanges made from different metals. The three most commonly used ones are Pikotek, Phenolic and PUR.
The sets are used for electrical insulation of pipeline sections, to control cathodic protection and prevent the flow of electrostatic charges along pipelines.
Vestpak supplies three standard types of gasket sets for insulation: to fit flanges with an elevated surface, straight surface and ring grooves.
pikotek manufactures both high- and low-pressure insulating gaskets for the following standards: ANSI B16.5, B16.47 A & B, API 6A, DIN, BS, AS and others.
Pikotek VCS
VCS means Very Critical Service. The gasket can be used for RF, FF and RTJ flanges. It was once developed as an alternative where the Phenolic RTJ failed, but has turned out to be even more standardized than the Phenolic.
Pikotek PGE
PGE is designed for lower pressures, such as pressure categories 150# and 300# or equivalent. Can be supplied for both RF and FF flanges.
