VPTG-RTJ

Installing procedure VPTG RTJ Test gasket

1.  Check the gasket. The sealing surface must have no imperfections.

2.   Fit 50% of the bolts, center ring the test gasket.

3.  Fit the test flange and the VP-TG RTJ TEST GASKET.

4. Tighten up two of the bolts 180o opposite each other until the flanges have 360o contact with the guide ring.

5. Fit the remaining bolts and tighten these against the flanges (they must NOT be loose).

6. The connection is now ready for testing.

NOTE!
For larger dimensions it is best to relieve the weight of the test flange until you have finished fitting in order to eliminate the risk of the test surface sagging. Remember to measure the parallelism of the flanges during fitting. 
The flanges do not need to be tightened with torque, and should only meet steel against steel.
