Garlock EVSP 9000

The 9000 EVSP™ (Expandable Valve System Packing) represents an ideal solution for the need to decrease fugitive emissions to the lowest level possible. This product not only presents the ability to preserve the environment, but also to reduce costs associated with emissions.

The exceptional sealing ability of the 9000 EVSP™ surpasses the standards of today, allowing the demands of tomorrow to be met, resulting in customers avoiding potential regulation penalties.

The 9000 EVSP™ provides a low friction seal ideal for control valve applications. It application range can:

• withstand temperatures in steam of up to 648ºC and up to 454ºC in oxygen (see Garlock where higher temperature applications exist)
• withstand systems pressures up to 10,000 PSI
• tolerate a pH range of 0-14

A typical 9000 EVSP Simplified™ set consists of seven rings, which allow the outstanding benefits to be repeatedly achieved.

• High cycling temperatures
• High frequency actuation
• Low torque
• Low emissions ( EN15848-1 Class B)
• ISA/ISO testing approval

Modifications can be made to the 9000 EVSP™ for shallow stuffing boxes allowing an optimum product to be created specifically for your plant.

EVSP 9000 really reduces fugitive emissions

These rings, which have a "cup and cone" design, are compressed against the stem and outwards against the stuffing box by the high-density graphite rings. This takes place because the high-density rings have a different angle from the low-density rings.
